Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the two playable protagonists. Their story is built as a partnership, in the Bonnie-and-Clyde tradition Rockstar has publicly leaned into.
Lucia is the first female lead in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game, a genuine series first.
Confirmed supporting cast
Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder round out the confirmed supporting cast.
Every other 'character' name floating around online, sheriffs, kingpins, cartel bosses, is fan invention. We do not treat those as canon.
What we don't know yet
Rockstar has not detailed the character-switching mechanic (if it works like GTA V), the mission structure, or how much of the story is co-op vs. solo.
