The Leone Pre-Launch Checklist: Everything to Do Before Nov 19, 2026

Pre-orders, storage space, controller prep, and the community setup so you're not fumbling on launch night.

1. Lock in your edition

Rockstar confirmed two editions: Standard ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99). There is no physical or collector's edition.

Both editions get the Vintage Vice City Pack as a pre-order bonus, but only if you pre-order before November 20, 2026.

Ultimate adds exclusive premium vehicles, weapons, and apparel woven across the story. If you skipped GTA V's launch-day content, Ultimate is the way to avoid FOMO this time.

2. Pick the right platform

GTA 6 launches only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced or dated, do not wait on it if you want to play November 19.

If you're on last-gen (PS4 / Xbox One), you're not launching with the game. Plan an upgrade or borrow a friend's console for the first weekend.

3. Free up storage now

Rockstar has not published a final install size, but historical AAA open-world releases land between 90 GB and 150 GB. Clear at least 200 GB to be safe (day-one patch included).

External SSDs work for Xbox Series X|S natively. On PS5 you'll need an internal NVMe expansion or you'll be juggling installs on launch night.

4. Community setup

Join the Leone Discord and enter our weekly giveaway before launch. Both are free.

Turn on the countdown newsletter, we ship the release-week checklist, unlockables tracker, and best-money-methods list within 48 hours of launch.
