GTA 6 Editions Explained: Standard vs Ultimate
Two SKUs, no collector's edition. Standard is $79.99, Ultimate is $99.99, and the pre-order bonus is identical. Here is what the extra $20 actually gets you.
Rockstar is shipping GTA 6 in two editions. That is the whole list.
Standard Edition — $79.99
- The full base game on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
- Vintage Vice City Pack, if you pre-order before November 20, 2026.
Ultimate Edition — $99.99
- Everything in Standard.
- Exclusive premium vehicles, weapons, and apparel that Rockstar has said are "woven into the story," not gated behind post-launch DLC drops.
- Same Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus.
What there is not:
- No collector's edition. No steelbook. No map cloth. No statue.
- No PC edition at launch. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, day one.
- No last-gen version. If you are on PS4 or Xbox One, you are not launching with the game.
Our read: if the Ultimate content is genuinely story-woven (not a cosmetic bundle you ignore for 60 hours), the $20 delta is fair. If it turns out to be a glorified skin pack, Standard is the smart play. We will re-review inside 72 hours of launch with a spoiler-free content breakdown.
